Mar 8, 2010 · After hearing round speakers some have trashed new oval speakers quite violently in disgust. For considerable sound improvement, replace oval speakers with most any reasonable quality round ones. Simply press-fit 3" to 3 1/2" round speakers into the Miata's foam headrest speaker cavities. Installing round headrest speakers is a two-minute job.

I gotten 3rd Millennium factory replacement speakers as a gift. I have only started on the passenger side but have ran into a rats nests of crimp splices and cut back OEM wiring.
