  5. A previous user has stated that it was heavily flawed scientifically (realtime communication with Andromeda). But there is no real time communication. They build a computer from a signal originating 2 million years ago. The interaction they have is with the computer once built not with Andromeda. Not a great film but definitely a great story.

  6. Set in 1970, a team of scientists decipher a mysterious signal from space and discover that it provides instructions to build a powerful super-computer. Once built, this computer provokes argument between two of leading team members, Fleming and Dawnay, over the machine's real intentions as it provides further instructions to create a living organism, which Dawnay starts to develop.
