Sherry Turkle is the Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology in the Program in Science, Technology, and Society at MIT, and the founding director of the MIT Initiative on Technology and Self.
Sherry Turkle (born June 18, 1948) is an American sociologist. She is the Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She obtained a BA in social studies and later a PhD in sociology and personality psychology at Harvard University.

Gigliola Staffilani is the Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Professor of Mathematics at MIT. There, she works on dispersive partial differential equations, using abstract tools to describe wave phenomena. After earning her PhD from the University of Chicago, she went on to faculty positions at Stanford, Princeton and Brown Universities.
