Reception: Thursday, September 2, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. I have been painting fisherman saints for over 20 years now. When I began, I was drawn to the traditional, iconic image of a Maine fisherman—rugged, earnest, up before dawn for an honest day's work.
Alison Goodwin is an artist who's paintings have an uplifting, whimsical aspect which can be attributed to her use of bright color and skewed perspectives. We have all of her available serigraph prints in our Natick, Massachusetts Gallery.
Biography. Browse artists. Blue Chair. Born in Montreal Canada in 1959, Alison moved in with her family to Portland Maine at the age of nine. Alison went on to study art at the University of Southern Maine and at the Portland School of Art having been determined since the age of five to be an artist.
