Sailors Joe (Dick Haymes) and Skip (Ray McDonald) habitually take advantage of their shipmate, Moby (Mickey Rooney), who's robbed after they take him to a shady bar. When they have no money to go to Catalina Island, Calif., Joe arranges their travel by volunteering the clueless Moby to work on the ship. Skip later meets a glamorous dancer (Peggy Ryan), while Joe woos a nightclub owner (Jody Lawrance). Moby decides to leave, but finds himself coming to the rescue of a beautiful heiress. Wikipedia
