Mar 15, 2024 · Ana Malta (Lisbon, 1996) is a Portuguese visual artist and freelance designer. She participates for the first time in Art Madrid'24, represented by Galeria São Mamede ( Booth B3). And she has been the revelation artist selected by X Cultura Inquieta, who collaborates as media partner with Art Madrid in a new edition.
Ana Malta is a visual artist born in Lisbon (1996). During her studies she took Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (2018) and a Master degree in Creative Industries Management at the Catholic University of Portugal in Porto (2020). Ana Malta's work focuses, above all, on the use of colour and expression. She works with everyday themes in an expressive combination of brushstroke and line. Her work is often socially critical, and she uses symbols, images, phrases and words, which appear among the exaltation of the work, as a mean of critic.
