It's a rewarding purchase for the main title alone, a gorgeous romantic melody, reminiscent of the PAPILLON theme, featuring accordion and strings. The ANGIE score is polite, elegant, heartfelt and entirely deserving of a serious listen.

ANGIE. Gorgeous score must be Goldsmith's most under-rated. One thing it's impossible not to notice after being part of the film music community for a number of years is that there is a blinkered and ignorant attitude towards the music of Jerry Goldsmith.
Goldsmith's sentimental score to Angie is much in this tradition with a light but memorable folk like theme heard chiefly for Accordion, and ably supported by unobtrusive keyboards.
