When Anna of Hungary Duchess of Macsó was born in 1226, her father, Árpád-ház IV. Béla Magyar Király, was 20 and her mother, Maria Laskarina z Nicei, was 21. She married Rostislav Mikhailovich in 1243. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. She died in 1285, at the age of 59.

He transferred the government of various regions in the south to her, Szepes, Macsó, Bosnia, and Slavonia and she used the title of duchess (ducissa totius Sclaonie, de Macho et de Bozna) until 1283.
