The Arkansas Railroad Museum exhibits the history of railroading in Arkansas with a special emphasis on the St. Louis Southwestern Railway, more commonly known as the Cotton Belt Railroad.

The Arkansas Railroad Museum in Pine Bluff (Jefferson County) grew out of an effort by the Cotton Belt Historical Society to preserve the last steam-powered locomotive built in Arkansas. It has since expanded to include other artifacts of Arkansas’s railroad heritage.
1700 Port Rd., Pine Bluff, AR. The Arkansas Railroad Museum has been showcasing the rich rail transportation history of Jefferson County and the state since 1983. Kids can even climb aboard many of the train cars and engines in the museum for an authentic railroad experience.
The Arkansas Railroad Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00AM until 2:00PM. (Hours may be curtailed during extreme outdoor temperatures.) Call ahead for special guided tours. Location is 1700 Port Road, just off U.S. Highway 65B. Phone 870.535.8819 or visit the official website.
