Artan Minarolli is the former head of the Albanian Center of Cinematography. Founded in 1997, the Center supports the development, production and international distribution of Albanian films. Artan has been involved in Albanian film production as a writer, producer and director since 1982.
Artan Minarolli was born on 13 May 1958 in Tiranë, Albania. He was a writer and director, known for The Delegation (2018), Alive (2009) and Nata pa hënë (2004). He died on 30 December 2015 in Tirana, Albania.

Mayor Erion Veliaj handed over the symbolic sign with the name of the artist, his son, Genc Minarolli, who was accompanied by actor Ndriçim Xhepa, a friend and colleague of Artan.
