Arthur Barratt. Mr Arthur Barratt (Bell boy) was born at 13 Cross Street, Kingsland, Southampton, Hampshire, England on 8 August 1896. He was the son of Arthur Barratt (1870-1944, a journeyman boilermaker) and Margaret Black (1874-1939), both Hampshire natives who had married in Southampton in 1893 and he was the second of their three children.
