Artur Guttmann. 1891 - 1945.. The filmcomposer Artur Guttmann was born into a musical family, his father was a musician himself. Therefore he got a musical education at a young age and when he was 18 he took over the conduct of the boys' choir of the Volksoper in Vienna. Three years later he became a bandmaster of the Johann Strauss theater.
