For the curious, "Beatlemania" attempts to use Lennon and McCartney's hits to serve as a literal backdrop for the events of the 1960s. Thus, we get stock footage of lunar landing, civil rights marches, Woodstock, etc. We also get some specially staged conceptual vignettes. Sometimes the footage works - and sometimes it doesn't.
