Aug 15, 2019 · Bender Arena is the flagship facility of the American University Sports Center, which was built at cost of $20 million dollars in 1985 by Daniel F. Tulley and Associates. The Sports Center also includes the Jacobs Fitness Center, the Reeves Aquatic Center, a mini-mall, the campus store, and a 470-car, seven-level parking garage.
Bender Arena Located in the Sports Center, Bender Arena is host to a variety of events on campus including Commencement and athletic games. Members, who can access the arena through the Jacobs Fitness Center, have access to drop-in for basketball and other court activities during open court hours.
