- Significance: The Goodrich House was constructed in 1850 by Dr. Benjamin Briggs Goodrich, a medical doctor from Virginia. A signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence in 1836, Goodrich also served as a corporal in a company of Hood's Texas Brigade and was a member of the Dickson Rangers.
The junior Benjamin Briggs Goodrich (1949-1991) died of heart disease brought on by treatment for Hodgkin's Disease (with which he was diagnosed at age 19) in September 1991, at age 42 in Paris, France.
