Bernard II of Saxe-Lauenburg (German: Bernhard II.; c. 1385/1392 – 16 July 1463) was a member of the House of Ascania and Duke of Saxe-Lauenburg from 1426 to 1463. His full title was Duke of Saxony, Angria and Westphalia, however only ruling the branch duchy of Saxe-Lauenburg between 1426 and 1463.

Bernard II of Saxe-Lauenburg was a member of the House of Ascania and Duke of Saxe-Lauenburg from 1426 to 1463. His full title was Duke of Saxony, Angria and Westphalia, however only ruling the branch duchy of Saxe-Lauenburg between 1426 and 1463.
Bernard II (c. 995 – 29 June 1059) was the Duke of Saxony between 1011 and 1059, the third of the Billung dynasty as a son of Bernard I and Hildegard. Besides his position in Saxony, he had the rights of a count in Frisia. Bernard expanded the powers of the duke in Saxony and is regarded as the greatest of the Billungers.
In 1575 he gives Maasi Castle to 'Duke Magnus of Saxe-Lauenburg', who is allied to Sweden (a problematical assertion as Franz I is the current duke. His son, the future Magnus II, is the probable candidate here).

Bernhard was a younger son of Erich IV, Herzog von Sachsen-Lauenburg (Duke of Saxe-Lauenburg) in Lauenburg, Ratzeburg and Bergedorf, and his wife, Sophie von Braunschweig und Luneburg, He succeeded his elder brother Erich V in 1435 as Bernhard II, Herzog von Sachsen-Lauenburg in Lauenburg and Ratzeburg.
