This is Blues, and a mighty fine Blues it is. It has a pretty live vibe to it with several songs extended and some improvisations too, like "Emergency Boogie". Love the use of Saxophone on several of the tracks. There is a lot of energy, specially in the first half of the album, but gets a little low tempo towards the end.

In the 1960s, he was the founder of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a band which has counted among it's members some of the most famous blues and blues rock musicians.
