Robert Treman Clendenin [1] (born April 14, 1964) is an American actor. He is best known for portraying Dr. Tom Gazelian in ABC comedy series Cougar Town and Dr. Paul Zeltzer in the comedy series Scrubs . Education. Clendenin graduated from Cornell University in 1986 and earned his Master of Fine Arts from Penn State University in 1990.
