Nov 8, 2022 · Bolko II of Opole (Polish Bolesaw II opolski before 1300 21 June 1356), was a Duke of Opole from 1313 (with his brother as coruler until 1323). He was the second son of Duke Bolko I of Opole by his wife Agnes, probably a daughter of Margrave Otto III of Brandenburg.

Bonne was the widow of Matthew IV Csák, a Hungarian nobleman (son of the infamous oligarch Matthew III Csák) and also the mother of two sons, Matthew V and James.

Unlucky in his native principality, and being very ambitious, he left for Hungary in the 1450s. In 1367 he became a palatine of Hungary, which made him the second official after the king in this country.
The army of Henryk IV Probus withdrew from Kraków, and on 26 February the bloody Battle of Siewierz took place, which ended with the defeat of Henryk IV's allies; during the fight, was killed Przemko of Ścinawa and Bolko I of Opole was captured. After the battle, Bolesław II occupied Kraków, where he triumphantly entered in the summer of 1289.

Viola, Duchess of Opole. Vladislaus I of Opole ( Polish: Władysław opolski) ( c. 1225 – 27 August/13 September 1281/2) was a Duke of Kalisz during 1234–1244, Duke of Wieluń from 1234 to 1249 and Duke of Opole – Racibórz from 1246 until his death. He was the second son of Casimir I of Opole by his wife, Viola, probably a Bulgarian lady.
