Sep 12, 2023 · The updated boosters are each approved for those aged 12 and older and authorized for emergency use for children between ages 6 months and 11 years. For those aged 6 months to 4 years who have previously been vaccinated, the agency says they are eligible to receive one or two booster doses.

Jan 4, 2022 · Today, CDC is updating our recommendation for when many people can receive a booster shot, shortening the interval from 6 months to 5 months for people who received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. This means that people can now receive an mRNA booster shot 5 months after completing their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series.
