Breakfast with Scot is a bit of formulaic movie making. A gay couple suddenly has a precocious kid dropped into their home. Hilarity and tender moments follow, all ending happily ever after naturally. It is a bit of sparkly fluff. The actor playing the kid is pretty good. The hockey dad is excellent, but the lawyer is a little bit flat.

The movie’s real danger is that the homosexual message is presented dramatically and in an engaging manner, thus having the effect of mainstreaming all kinds of sexual immorality, not just homosexuality. Needless to say, media-wise viewers will not want to support movies like BREAKFAST WITH SCOT.
