The Bridge of Sighs (Italian: Ponte dei Sospiri, Venetian: Ponte de i Sospiri) is a bridge in Venice, Italy. The enclosed bridge is made of white limestone, has windows with stone bars, passes over the Rio di Palazzo, and connects the New Prison ( Prigioni Nuove ) to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace .

It was commissioned by the Doge Marino Grimani, whose family coat-of-arms can be seen in the centre of the facade.
It is approximately eleven metres long, made of white marble, and decorated with twenty masked heads: The Bridge of Sighs is one of the most famous of the 400 bridges that all cross Venice’s hundred canals. Anyone visiting La Serenissima must see the legendary landmark.
