[1] which had a population of 81,101 in 2021 while the wider borough had a population of 193,846. [2] The town is within the historic county boundaries of Lancashire.

    • Bury Market. Often praised as the best market in the country, Bury Market has a history going back to the reign of King Henry VI in 1444.
