Chen Shi-Zheng (Chinese: 陳士爭; born 1963 in Changsha, Hunan, China) is a New York-based theater and film director. Having earned a BA from the Hunan Art School in Traditional Opera, he received his MA from the Tisch School of Art at New York University.
Chen Shi-Zheng is a China-born, New York-based director. He studied traditional Chinese opera at a young age, and had become a leading actor before he moved to the US. While attending graduate school in NYU, he performed as a singer in contemporary music theatre and opera.
