Christa Schroeder, the daughter of a single parent, was born in Hannoversch Münden, Germany, on 19th March 1908. After the death of her mother she moved to Nagold where she worked as a secretary. In 1930 she moved to Munich. After answering an advertisement she found work with the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP).
