Christmas Tree Lane is an annual tradition in the city of Altadena, north of Pasadena, which features deodar cedar trees strung with Christmas lights. Running for about a mile along Santa Rosa Street, the trees have been lit almost continuously for over 95 years.

Each December, North Van Ness Boulevard in Fig Garden becomes a one-way street lined with hundreds of trees and homes all decked-out for the holidays. Visitors can drive the 2-mile stretch from Shields to Shaw all the way until Christmas Day.

Christmas Tree Lane in Altadena (actually Santa Rosa Avenue, between Woodbury Avenue and Altadena Drive) is reported to be the oldest large-scale Christmas lighting display in the world.
Christmas Tree Lane lights and decorations are displayed (approx.) two weeks during the Christmas Holidays. Christmas Tree Lane's lights will be turned on at 5 PM and turned off at 11 PM nightly from December 16 to December 31, 2023.
Christmas Tree Lane will open on Dec. 1 and will run Sunday through Thursday 6-10 p.m. and 6 p.m. through 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Those interested in checking out Christmas Tree Lane should enter on Shields Avenue and exit on Shaw right next to Fig Garden Village.
