CinderElmo is a 65-minute television film that aired on Fox in the United States on December 6, 1999, loosely based on the fairy tale Cinderella. It was released on VHS and DVD in North America on February 29, 2000. The special was sponsored by Kmart department stores, during the holiday season, "where, no doubt, much Elmo merchandise is on display."
