In the days before D-Day, British Intelligence selects Capt. Paul Raine (Bradford Dillman) for a dangerous mission to misdirect the Nazis without knowing it, since his medical records indicate a propensity to crack under torture. Trained by Lt. Lucy Bowen (Suzy Parker), Raine is told the Allies will invade through Calais rather than Normandy. He's then parachuted into France, ostensibly to aid the French Resistance.
