Donald Keith Ulrich (born April 10, 1944) is a former driver/owner in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. As a driver, he had sixteen top ten finishes in 273 starts. His last race came in 1992.
Dec 2, 2023 · In 1997, Skeet Ulrich told The New York Times that he considered D.K. Ulrich to be his real father. Thirteen years later, he told Los Angeles Magazine, "I didn't really have a dad." In neither interview did he have much good to say about his biological father, a hotel chef who went unnamed.
D.K. Ulrich was an owner/driver who started his #40 machine 178 times from 1971-1981. Ulrich never earned a win, but as an independent owner would provide rides for future and current stars like Bobby Allison, Richard Petty, Mark Martin, Ernie Irvan, Ricky Rudd, Tim Richmond, Sterling Marlin, and Kyle Petty.

Dec 5, 2006 · Back on Crooked Island, Owens discovered that the bonefishing resort owner, one D. K. Ulrich, had also gotten interested in the lighthouse. Ulrich took a long-term lease on the structure from the Bahamian government, with an eye toward making it a four-unit luxury adjunct to his operation.
