Dave Chapelle is a comedian, writer, producer, and actor. He honed his comic skills as a stand-up comedian in New York City’s comedy clubs, and shortly after appeared in his first films (including ROBIN HOOD: MEN IN TIGHTS and UNDERCOVER BLUES), and television shows (HOME IMPROVEMENT and the short-lived BUDDIES). In 1998 he had a supporting role in YOU’VE GOT MAIL, and co-wrote and starred in the cult film HALF-BAKED. His real claim to fame came in 2003 when his sketch comedy program, THE CHAPELLE SHOW, premiered on Comedy Central. The show satirized social mores and conceptions of race, and proved an enormous success. During the third season, Chapelle quit the show, claiming work-related stress. In 2006 he released the film DAVE CHAPELLE’S BLOCK PARTY. Wikipedia
