Biography. Dave McKean was born in Taplow, Berkshire in 1963. He attended Berkshire College of Art and Design from 1982-86 and, before leaving, started working as an illustrator. the first Photoshop comics covers for the hugely influential Sandman series, and the first original online interactive narrative, Club Salsa ).
