David Kemper is an American television writer and producer who is best known for his work on the science fiction/fantasy show Farscape. He was raised in Oak Park, Michigan, where he attended Ferndale High School. At school he was a baseball player.

David Kemper, also known as "D.K.", is a screenwriter and the executive producer on Farscape.
Prior to Farscape, Kemper served as a producer on seaQuest DSV and had contributed scripts to such notable programs as seaQuest, The Outer Limits, The Pretender, Stargate SG-1, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek: Voyager.
Kemper also has an onscreen role in 4.17 "A Constellation of Doubt" as the anonymous government agent.
In October of 2006, it was announced that Kemper would return to the folds of the Sci-Fi Channel with a five-picture deal for their Saturday night movie franchise.
Kemper has done a number of commentaries for the Farscape DVDs alongside fellow producer Rockne S. O'Bannon as well as actors Ben Browder and Claudia Black.
