James Anthony Janisse (born May 6, 1989 (1989-05-06) [age 34]), better known online as Dead Meat, is an American YouTuber, movie reviewer, comedian, vlogger, gamer, and the host of the Kill Count who first made his YouTube debut on the channel Practical Folks.

James had first started his career as a YouTuber in the US State of Michigan on January 13, 2014, but was later turned into an LA-based group that consisted of his wife Chelsea Rebecca, as well as friends James Graessle and Joel Arnold.
Since then James made the Dead Meat channel, where he mostly covers horror franchises with Kill Counts, as well as Podcasts about horror movies and shows. He also does this with Chelsea as his co-host.
The main reason people watch his channel is for his Kill Count series. A weekly series where James will take a horror film and count the kills in it. At the start of the video he will talk about the films impact (director and behind-the-scenes, how much the film means to him, etc.) and then he plays clips from the movies while he recaps them. Whenever someone dies he will keep track of it and at the end he will typically do a funny gag to "Get to the numbers".
He will then tally up a number of how many people perished, then sort the kill count in a pie chart by gender as well as a kill-on-average figure, found by dividing the film's length by its total kills and multiplying that number by 60. After the pie chart and kill-on-average figure, he awards 2 medals, one is the Golden Chainsaw which goes to his favorite kill in the movie, followed by the Dull Machete for his least favorite kill. Some series will have bonus awards such as Saw, Jurassic Park and Final Destination.
