Gabby Wright (Christy Carlson Romano) is the main villainess in the 2014 Lifetime film Deadly Daycare (airdate December 28th, 2014).
Gabby is happily married to her husband Troy and the couple had a three year old daughter named Crystal. One night while the couple was driving they got into a horrific accident with Rachel and her estranged husband Daniel (the main protagonists), Rachel was pregnant at the time of the accident, that resulted in Gabby's daughter Crystal dying and T...
Three years later, Gabby is first spotted at a local daycare where Rachel brings her daughter Mia. Though Gabby recognizes Rachel, Rachel doesn't remember Gabby at all. Gabby quickly becomes fixed on Mia and favors Mia over all of the other children with Rebecca (another teacher) noticing Gabby's odd behavior. Gabby goes home one evening and tells Troy that she recognized Rachel from the accident. She also tells Troy her master plan to take Rachel's daughter Mia so the couple can raise her as their own daughter. When Rebecca confronts Gabby about her obsessive behavior, Gabby warns Rebecca to stay out of her way and that Rebecca will lose her job if she continues to poke her nose in Gabby's business. Gabby then instructs her husband Troy to kill Rebecca which Troy does by running Rebecca over with his car. Once Rachel hears the news, she talks to Gabby about Rebecca's condition with Gabby stating that Rebecca needed the time off and that Gabby will pray for her.
One day when Rachel goes to pick up Mia, she notices Gabby aggressively handling Mia which causes Mia to have bruises. Gabby claims that Mia took another child's toy and she was putting her in time out. Mia tells Rachel that she fell and Gabby helped her with the injuries. Gabby unexpectedly shows up at Rachel's home with a jacket claiming that Mia left it behind and invites herself inside the house. When Daniel comes to visit Mia, Gabby makes an awkward first impression and assumes that she was going to have dinner with the couple when Rachel tells Gabby that she can leave. Rachel watches the hidden camera she placed in the daycare and hears Gabby referring to herself as Mia's mother while also telling Mia that her new name is "Crystal". Rachel finally remembers Gabby as the mother from the accident three years earlier. Rachel rushes to the daycare and picks up Mia while also telling Barbara (the daycare owner) to call the police once Barbara confirms that Rebecca died of her injuries the next morning.
Rachel takes Mia home and tells Daniel that Gabby is the mother from the accident. Gabby and Troy arrive at the residence with Gabby approaching the door armed with a gun. Gabby tries to get inside but Daniel tells her that he doesn't need her to watch Mia and tries to close the door. Gabby pulls out her gun and reveals herself as the mother from the accident while blaming Daniel for killing Crystal and causing Troy to become paralyzed. She also accuses Daniel of talking on his cell phone when the accident occurred with Daniel trying to sympathize with her while also saying what happened was an accident causing Gabby to get enraged.
When Troy pulls off, Daniel slams the door but Gabby shoots Daniel through the door and proceeds to go inside in search for Mia. Rachel hides Mia and takes a doll with her pretending the doll is Mia as Gabby pursues her with the gun. Rachel drops the doll much to Gabby's horror but Gabby realizes it was a doll and continues to demand to know where Mia is. Gabby holds Rachel at gunpoint and continues to blame Rachel for the accident and states that what happened wasn't an accident and that everything leading up to that moment was fate. Gabby repeatedly asks where "her" daughter is with Rachel telling Gabby that Crystal went to Heaven and that Gabby can one day be with her. After flashing back to the memories of her with her daughter, Gabby attempts to commit suicide but is stopped by the police who arrest her. As Gabby is being arrested, she continues to blame Rachel for what happened stating that Rachel took everything from her but is ignored.
