My Story. I have been a writer/producer/exec.producer/creator of television series since 1961 when I was a staff writer on the first BOB NEWHART show, a half hour comedy/variety show. I bounced around for a few years after that until I became the sole staff writer on THE MAN FROM UNCLE and I wrote the screenplay for the pilot of Columbo.
