Jul 31, 2014 · This 45-minute piece produced in conjunction with Herzog’s friend Denis Reichle, a wartime photographer, is devastatingly depressing but powerful. Still, I’m not sure it could stand as a feature, simply because it is such an upsetting peek into a dark, dark side of the world, that in which children are turned into soldiers.
