Dinotopia was a large island containing several diverse environments including great jungles in the west, sparse plains in the north and dry canyons in the east. Dinotopia is an amazing place, you journey through it with Will and his dad. Gurney's art truly makes it feel alive, like it is a place that you can visit by simply entering the books pages. The lore, locations, and technologies all feel realistic. Though, still with a sense of whimsy mixed in for good measure.
