Donald Wayne Johnson (born December 15, 1949) is an American actor, producer and singer. He played the role of James "Sonny" Crockett in the 1980s television series Miami Vice, for which he won a Golden Globe, and received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. He also played the titular character in the 1990s series Nash Bridges.
Don Johnson is best known for his role as Sonny Crockett on Miami Vice, a TV series that revolutionized television with its style and substance. He has also starred in films such as A Boy and His Dog, Django Unchained and Knives Out, and created Nash Bridges.
