Pro Football Hall of Fame. Donald Francis Shula (January 4, 1930 – May 4, 2020) was an American professional football player and coach who served as a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1963 to 1995. He played seven seasons as a defensive back in the NFL.
Don Shula coached the Baltimore Colts and the Miami Dolphins for 33 seasons, winning six division titles and two Super Bowls. He holds the NFL record for most career wins, most Super Bowl appearances and the only perfect season in history.
