Donata Wenders ( born 1965, Berlin) lives and works in Berlin, Germany, with her husband Wim. She studied Film and Theatre in Berlin and Stuttgart and has worked on various film productions as a camera assistant and shot films as a cinematographer.

The artist’s visual language is by no means nostalgic—rather, she poetically captures filmic still lifes and combines them with the routine manual labour of the people depicted. The interplay between clearly contoured scenes and softly drawn sequences of movement results in novel artistic documentations.
