Dorothy Seligman married Ephriam Shorr (1897-1956), a Yale-trained M.D., in 1927. Shorr worked closely with Richard Offner and his students in the 1950s, helping many of them with their research projects. During this time her husband was professor of medicine at Cornell University and an attending physician at New York Hospital.
