Most of these recent reviews are probably referring to Dosewallips State Park Campground, since the Olympic National Park Dosewallips campground road washed in 2002 and as of 2016 is still out. There is no vehicle access, so any review here referencing car camping, RVs or cabins either predates the wash out or is misplaced.

Feb 26, 2018 · The Smell of dead Salmon. Oct 2023 • Family. So recently Dosewallips made a change to the River creating a water way for the Salmon to come up. Their design did nothing but cause hundreds of Salmon to die, lay and rot.
The Dosewallips River Road is the gateway to the eastern Olympic Mountains and it penetrates one of the deepest canyons in Olympic National Park. Now closed to vehicles, the old road bed allows hikers to explore true wilderness at a gentle grade. Backpackers, peak baggers, and horseback riders take advantage of the easy access to the trails beyond the road's end.
