    Deborah Leah Birx (born April 4, 1956) is an American physician and diplomat who served as the United States global AIDS coordinator for presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump between 2014 and 2020; she additionally served as the United States special representative for global health diplomacy between 2015 and 2021, and as the coronavirus response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force between February 2020 and January 2021.
