Found it to be honest and really smart about the grey areas in life, friendship, love. Anyone bitching about lack of conventional conflict or climax, go watch a studio rom-com. Swanberg's movies are just not for you. Funny how all these folks going to see Olivia Wilde fall in love with Nick from New Girl instead get a movie like Drinking Buddies.

Aug 23, 2013 · Drinking Buddies is one of the biggest sorprises of this year, the story could be familiar, but the development is really great (ok, sometimes falls into the known), the script is really smart, and the performances are wow, incredible, Anna Kendrick, Olivia Wilde, Jake M. Johnson and Ron Livingston do a good job. Great movie.
