"Drop Dead Gorgeous" (2010) sucks and is overrated, even with the IMDb User Rating of 2.7; surprisingly there are favorable reviews. This movie is neither funny nor a good critic to the world of fashion. After almost 93 minutes running time, I did not laugh not even once. My vote is one (awful).

The blurb on this film sounded good, but it felt as though the writers didn't know where to take the idea. There were some funny moments but nothing laugh out loud. Shame really the cover gave the impression that there would be interaction between the dead star and the other models, but really there was limited action here with one other model.
The script for "Drop Dead Gorgeous," on the other hand, must have been a funny read. It's the movie that somehow never achieves takeoff speed. Subtle miscalculations of production and performance are probably responsible; comedy is a fragile rose, eager to wilt. The movie takes place in Mount Rose, Minn., a setting created after long study of "Fargo."
