Duns Castle is a 4-storey, crenellated baronial Tudor mansion built to the designs of James Gillespie Graham in 1820-23 with minor alterations to the west undertaken in 1966. It incorporates the intact Pele tower of the original castle, built c.1320 for Randolph, Earl of Moray, and later improvements dating to the 1780s.
