Nov 7, 2022 · The weather was perfect to go to Eastern Promenade and enjoy the views of Casco Bay, have a picnic on the lawn, get eats from the food trucks that are back after a long winter, walk the trails, rent a kayak, or just sit on a bench and relax.

Jun 1, 2023 · This is a great place to stretch your legs, take in the fresh air, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The trail ends in downtown Portland with shops and restaurants. We tried to come here early on a Saturday morning but it was crowded due to a half marathon.

Old salts should love the Eastern Promenade Trail, as it skirts the shoreline of Portland’s Casco Bay and Portland Harbor. The 2.1-mile paved trail is always within sight of the water and is one of more than 30 trails and greenways in the state’s largest city.
On the south side of the bay, Back Cove Park offers several athletic fields. If you circle the cove in a counterclockwise direction, you’ll approach trail’s end near Turkey Bridge, where there are two other trails that you could hop on to extend your trip: the Bayside Trail and East Promenade Trail.
