Sep 25, 2018 · Edward K. Cheng has been appointed to the Hess Chair in Law. He is the first recipient of the Hess Chair, which was established in 2017 by William “Hal” Hess, JD’90, and Jodi Hess, to honor the law school’s contribution to Hess’s career.
Edward K. Cheng is the Hess Chair in Law at Vanderbilt Law School. His scholarship focuses on scientific and expert evidence, and the interaction of law and statistics. He teaches evidence, torts, and a seminar on scientific evidence. Outside of law, Ed enjoys rock climbing, soccer, and native plant gardening.
