Edward Simons (February 1, 1917 – June 26, 2018) was an American musician, a classical violinist and conductor, who was the oldest active conductor in the United States. He started his career in the 1940s and continued conducting until his death on June 26, 2018.
American violinist and conductor Edward Simons has passed away peacefully– aged 101. Mr Simons performed as a long term violinist with the American Ballet Theatre orchestra, before going on to conductor eight Broadway shows - including My Fair Lady and Camelot.
