He was a producer and director, known for Law & Order (1990), Homicide: Life on the Street (1993) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999). He was married to Jane Alexander and Pamela Nichol Vevers. He died on 4 May 2017 in Lockport, Nova Scotia, Canada.
